What is the proper distance for a pool from a retaining wall? | |
I want to put in a pool and I have pnly about 12 ft between the back of my house and my neighbors retaining wall. How close can I get to the wall if I'm on the side the wall is holding up? What construction (if any) is needed to put a pool in next to this wall? Thisis going to be a 6ft in ground pool and I want to make sure I keep the integraty in the wall so my pool doesn't end up in my neighbors yard?? Thanks for your help! Pete P.S. The only quality and trusted answer you can find to this question is to
A. Find that quality builder/contractor. One site I know is poolbids.com (in Texas for sure)
or
B. Contact your permit section of city government and ask!

On an additional note!!!! Besides the structural integrity issues..... make sure you'll be happy with a pool and a wall!
Can you clean it well without obstruction? Can you make a major repair if it is needed?
Just some other things to consider, beyond the wall!
