swimming pools?

do you run your pump 24 hours a day or at certain times and is your pool water clear?

Answers:

1if you keep your shock treatments up about once a week -you can run the pump about 8 or 9 hours a day while you use it -in winter or idle times just keep it covered especially if your pool is under trees ? you ok with all this ?

From:

Please be aware, if your pool is considered in any way a commercial pool, you do have to operate the equipment 24 hours a day. If you are in the south I do not recommend covering your pool and keeping it idle. Continue your shocking and run the pump as needed for several hours a day. This will vary depending on the size and environment of the pool. A time clock is a great way to reduce the concern and duty of operation. Set it and forget it!
